Jack H. Pogosian is the CEO and Trial Counsel for In Motion Law, APC, a San Diego employment law, business law and personal injury law firm serving clients across San Diego County and throughout California statewide. With significant experience in labor and employment law and personal injury matters, Jack is a seasoned transactional and litigation attorney who takes a trial-focused approach toward dispute resolution. He is also highly experienced in regulatory compliance and corporate governance for companies of all sizes, serving as outside general counsel or providing services as needed to resolve particular issues.
Education and Professional Experience
Jack Pogosian is a graduate of California State University at Northridge and the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he served as President of the Armenian Law Students Association. He was admitted to practice law in California in 2015 and entered a local San Diego law firm as an Associate Attorney assisting clients with employment/labor dispute cases including wrongful termination, disability and racial discrimination, and failure to pay wages. He then moved on to working for ever-larger law firms and clients, including as an Associate Attorney at a distinguished AMLAW100 firm, one of the largest law firms in the nation. He has also served as Staff Counsel and General Counsel for several large companies in San Diego, Orange, and Silicon Valley, managing all manner of legal, business and administrative matters with efficiency and efficacy.
In these capacities, Jack has litigated hundreds of cases and handled regulatory compliance issues in a wide variety of legal, business, and employment matters. No stranger to high-stakes disputes, Jack takes on trial preparation and litigation from a case’s inception to its conclusion, including courtroom advocacy. He is particularly adept at law and motion work and has argued countless motions before California judges and arbitrators, including demurrers, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, motions in limine, and more. He is also skilled in negotiations and mediation and participates in dozens of mediations every year.
Jack is a member of the California Bar, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is fluent in both English and Armenian and gladly communicates with clients in their preferred language.
In his spare time, Jack enjoys spending time with his family. He also engages in a variety of athletic pursuits, including boxing, swimming, and motorsports, which require and reinforce mental strength and focus in both his personal and professional life.
